In leftist / alternative circles German flags are generally frowned upon, but there won't be a problem if your walking down the street. But even if you go to a demonstration, concert, club or whatever, ppl will just ask you to remove it (even if you're not politically active, Berlins alternative scene has a lot of cool events, like in the Köpi or about:blank).
